How this submission workspace is made
A drafting workspace for candidates assembling an APC submission. A single independent developer writes and runs it; it is not the professional body, an assessor, a training provider or a counsellor.
What it is for
Candidates lose hours to arithmetic: which words count, how much of the limit is left, whether an involvement still falls inside the window, how the hours divide. The draft workspace does that arithmetic while you write your own text, offline. It never writes a statement or case study for you, and the site carries no sample submission prose for anyone to pass off as their own.
Which documents the rules come from
The 16 rules behind the counters each cite a RICS document, the page or heading where the rule sits and the date it was read: chiefly the APC candidate guide in its June 2025 edition amended March 2026 and its August 2026 edition, with the guidance on recording CPD activities. Those documents are linked, not reproduced, and the published guide wins wherever a paraphrase here reads differently.
Credit on the guides
All 7 guides are published as Surveyor Case with no personal byline, and the structured data on each names the Surveyor Case organization as author. No chartered surveyor, assessor or membership number appears on the site. The date beside a guide is when its text last changed.
Other sites by the same developer
Competency Desk, for engineering licence competency assessments; Reflectora, for CPD logs kept by Irish registrants; Trainer Hours; and Rootdossier. None of them has any bearing on surveying assessment.
What this site cannot do
Whether your submission will pass, or your experience is enough, is beyond its reach. Your counsellor advises and your assessors decide, and nothing counted here carries weight with either. A word count shown here is this site's count of your text; the figure that matters is the one calculated in Microsoft Word, as the candidate guide specifies, so leave yourself room below the limit.
It gives no professional, technical or career advice, submits nothing and connects to no portal. For the reasoning, read which words are counted and how the involvement window is measured, or browse the guide index.
